Research scientist

Dickson Msaky is a researcher and a data scientist working in the Environmental Health and Ecological Sciences department. He joined the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) in  2015 where he led the design and programming of the electronic data capture application for entomological studies and he has worked on number of projects since then. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology from the University of Bagamoyo in Tanzania. He has gained considerable research experience during his course of work as a research officer at IHI. His research interests are in software development, data analytics and artificial intelligence. He is involved the HumBug project where he supports all research activities involving mosquito collections and data processing.
