Prof Paul Mansiangi, MD

Deputy Director of Kinshasa School of Public Health

Prof Paul Mansiangi is a medical entomologist at the University of Kinshasa (DRC) focusing on vector bioecology and evaluation of vector control interventions, especially for blackflies (in onchocerciasis control) and mosquitoes (in the fight against malaria). He is currently the deputy director of Kinshasa School of Public Health and coordinator of Bio-ecology and vector control laboratory of Environmental Health Department in the same institurion. His current work focuses on the use and durability of Long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs). He currently coordinates the research on the characterization of Anopheles breeding sites in Kinshasa. He also participates in the research on the resistance of Anopheles to insecticides (coordinated by his collaborators, such as Dr Metelo) and in the monitoring and evaluation of malaria vector control interventions.
