Ms Winifrida Mponzi
Research Scientist
Ms Winifrida Mponzi is a research scientist at the Ifakara Health Institute. She is responsible for all the activities related to randomised control trial (RCT) of Humbug project in Tanzania.
Ms Mponzi has an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Development from Mzumbe University. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Production and Operations Management from Mzumbe University. She has extensive experience in managing businesses as she worked with FINCA Microfinance Bank as Client Relation Supervisor for 5 years. She also worked with Tanelec Ltd as quality assurance officer. She joined IHI as program officer for Business Development, Entrepreneurship and Partnerships. She was responsible for mosquito repellent sandals designing and testing. She then worked in various project specifically in community engagement activities, data collection activities, data analysis as well as research paper writing. She is now working on Humbug project where she is supervising RCT field work activities as well as data collection activities.
