Dr Waqas Rafique
Postdoctoral Researcher
Waqas Rafique is research scientist in Applied Machine Learning in the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford and postdoctoral fellow of Trinity College, University of Cambridge. Waqas leads the project’s engineering work and his main area of research lies in machine learning and signal processing in social and biomedical context. He has particular interests in the development of multi-species acoustic detection algorithms and spatial mapping algorithms. He previously held postdoctoral research positions in King’s College London and University of Cambridge.
